The driver, who was driving a large F-250 Super Duty pick-up truck, made a wide and dangerous left turn, accelerated through the turn, and slammed his vehicle into Ms. Waugh. Despite Ms. Waugh's desperate attempt to get out of the way, the driver hit her with the front of his F-250 and launched her entire body approximately 6 feet into the air. Ms. Waugh crashed down onto the hood of the F-250, bounced off the hood, and struck the asphalt. Personal Injury: Auto/Auto - On July 7, 2007, Mr. Tannehill was injured when another driver, who was traveling northbound on Loop 1 in Austin, Travis County, Texas, failed to maintain control of his Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck while driving at high speed. The other driver lost control of his vehicle, drove through a large grass median, hit a light pole, and crossed into southbound traffic. Mr. Tannehill, who was traveling south in the left lane of Loop 1, performed a life-saving evasive maneuver to avoid a head-on collision. Although Mr. Tannehill was able to avoid the head-on collision, he was unable to completely avoid the other driver and was struck on the driver's side of his vehicle at high speed, suffering shoulder and neck injuries as a result. On behalf of Mr. Tannehill, our attorneys were able to recover the insurance policy limits of the other driver's auto insurance policy, the insurance policy limits of Mr. Tannehill's own auto insurance policy under his underinsured motorist coverage, and the insurance policy limits available under the Personal Injury Protection coverage of Mr. Tannehill's own auto insurance policy.
